TR4018 Heavy-duty Anti-corrosion Topcoat

TR4018 topcoat is a type of heavy-duty anti-corrosion, highly wear-resistant seamless special epoxy paint. It consists of two components, A and B, which can be applied in a thicker film in a single application and can be customized to any color as per customer requirements. It is suitable for surface decoration in various chemically corrosive environments and is widely used for coating the inner and outer walls of corrosion-resistant containers and pipelines.

Cement mortar surfaces; lime walls; wooden surfaces; metal surfaces.

Substrate Treatment Requirements

  1. The substrate must be dry and free of moisture, with humidity below 6%.

  2. Free of oil stains and other dirt.

Recommended Usage

  1. Application method: Trowel, brush, or spray application, with a consumption rate of 0.16 kg per square meter per coat.

  2. Add the corresponding amount of component B to component A according to the mixing ratio and mix thoroughly.

  3. Application is best carried out at temperatures above 10℃ and humidity below 80% RH.

  4. Once mixed, the product should be used as soon as possible. Prolonged storage is not recommended as the viscosity will increase until it hardens, rendering it unusable.

  5. Clean all tools and equipment with organic solvents at the end of each workday.

Packaging and Storage

TR4018A is packaged in 20KG pails, and TR4018B is packaged in 20KG pails.

Store in a cool, ventilated place, sealed, with a shelf life of 6 months. After opening, please seal immediately. If the shelf life is exceeded, stir well and conduct a small test to confirm usability.

Health and Safety Precautions

  • Ensure the construction site is clean and well-ventilated, and install exhaust equipment if necessary.
  • Wear protective gloves during operation, preferably rubber gloves over cotton gloves.
  • Avoid contact with the body as much as possible. If accidentally splashed on the skin, remove it with a cloth as soon as possible, then wash thoroughly with soap and water. If an allergic reaction occurs, seek medical attention. If accidentally splashed in the eyes, rinse with 0.9% sterile saline solution for more than 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
  • Spilled paint can be absorbed with a cloth or sand. For cleaning, it is best to use acetone or methyl ethyl ketone, followed by washing with soap and water.
  • The dried product is insoluble in water and organic solvents. Dispose of it according to local environmental regulations.
